Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Teen REACH Education Assistant. This part-time position will provide academic and enrichment activities to help 6th to 8th grade students develop and strengthen their skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety and Wellbeing: Ensure the wellbeing and safety of youth at all times.
  • Daily Activity Plans: Implement lesson plans and maintain daily classroom schedules.
  • Support Student's Growth/Development: Support each youth's social, emotional, and intellectual growth/development through lesson plans and interactions.
  • Tutoring/Homework Assistance: Assist youth with assignments or difficult concepts.
  • Maintaining Weekly Communication: Maintain weekly communication with parents, staff, and faculty regarding the progress of students.
  • Transportation: Transport participants when needed in a company-owned or rented vehicle.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Tracking Attendance: Track attendance of the students and other clerical duties in connection with lesson plans and programming.
  • Nutritional Snacks: Provide nutritional snacks in accordance with relevant local and state health standards for food preparation and handling and meet the standards of the National Afterschool Association.
Requirements
  • 18 years and older
  • Spanish- or Polish-speaking preferred
  • Familiarity with typical electronic office equipment including networked printers and file storage equipment.
Schedule
  • Part-time hourly position, up to a maximum of 15 hours.
  • Ability to work beyond traditional working hours and schedules (evening and weekend events and/or meetings).
