Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Management Professional to join our team at Finish Line. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager in all aspects of daily store operations, including customer service, sales, and personnel development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers.
  • Sales and Inventory Management: Assist in managing sales and inventory levels to meet business objectives.
  • Team Development: Train and coach store associates to promote and execute team, store, and company performance.
  • Operational Excellence: Partner with management to plan, implement, and execute change in regards to company initiatives to improve organizational performance.
  • Security and Loss Prevention: Provide security and loss prevention in store to minimize company shrink.
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Assist management with recruiting and interviewing potential employees.
  • Store Operations: Assist in opening and closing store procedures, including cash reconciliation, banking, reporting, and security.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent; 2+ years' experience in retail leadership strongly preferred.
  • Computer and Technical Skills: Basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communicator with internal and external individuals at all levels.
  • Decision Making and Problem Solving Skills: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
