Position Purpose:

As a vital member of the Energy 1 team, you will leverage your expertise and customer service skills to execute HVAC installation tasks for high-end residential and commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute skilled HVAC installation tasks related to the construction, diagnosis, repair, and installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues to perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of HVAC equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Interpret plans, coordinate with the construction team, procure necessary parts and materials, and undertake related duties.
  • Implement industry best practices in HVAC and refrigeration.
  • Adhere to building codes, regulations, and ordinances relevant to HVAC, refrigeration, and boiler systems.
  • Prepare equipment material specifications for documentation purposes.
  • Participate in regular HVAC department meetings.
  • Guide and mentor junior staff to enhance the HVAC department's workforce.
  • Provide direction on safety practices at job sites.
  • Exemplify a positive work ethic at all times.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
  • Communicate project updates to the administrative team through appropriate channels.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Possession of manual and electrical tools applicable to the HVAC and refrigeration field, or willingness to acquire them within six months.
  • Preferred: E.P.A. Refrigerant Certifications Type I, II, III, or Universal.
  • Preferred: Experience with boilers, heat pumps, snowmelt systems, and controls.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with geothermal heating systems.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to communicate effectively, both in person and via telephone; sit and stand; manipulate tools and controls; and reach with hands and arms.

Working Conditions:

  • This role may involve travel to various job sites as necessary.
  • This position may require occasional evening and weekend work.

Compensation: Pay rate ranges from $30 to $40 per hour, based on experience, with additional compensation for work in designated areas.
