Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive brake, alignment, and front-end maintenance, ensuring compliance with company guidelines.
  • Provide training and mentorship to fellow team members in line with company practices.
  • Facilitate the smooth progression of customer service tasks to maximize productivity.
  • Extend Big O's commitment to customer care to every client interaction.
  • Accurately diagnose and repair vehicles, maintaining high-quality standards across all service operations.
  • Participate in weekly meetings to discuss safety protocols, policy updates, and product knowledge.
  • Assist in the management and documentation of adjustments and core credits.
  • Collaborate with management to achieve service-related performance targets.
  • Ensure that all necessary information regarding completed work is communicated effectively for invoicing purposes.
  • Utilize the company’s purchasing program to enhance profitability.
  • Implement the vehicle inspection program consistently.
  • Meet established goals for service, sales, and productivity.
  • Support management in onboarding and training new staff members.
  • Complete all required training within specified timeframes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a service technician role.
  • Availability to work during holidays, weekends, and after hours as needed.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Ability to learn new concepts and utilize technical resources.
  • Proficient in operating computers and office equipment.
  • Capable of safely driving both automatic and manual vehicles.
  • Effective communication skills with customers.
  • Willingness to handle hazardous materials.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Compliance with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations is required.
  • Essential sensory abilities include vision, hearing, and the capacity to detect odors.
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods and to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must meet company requirements, including successful pre-employment screenings.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two or more years of experience in an automotive service environment.
  • Relevant ASE certifications.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
