Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse Resource Pool I to join our team at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our pediatric patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct nursing care for pediatric patients with a focus on family-centered care.
  • Provide physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients served regardless of age and developmental status.
  • Perform leadership and professional duties, including precepting new employees and acting as a mentor to clinical staff.
  • Participate in the development and education for staff members for clinically related issues.
  • Support the provider staff and actively promote collaboration for efficient operation and quality care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required or must be obtained within 5 years from date of hire.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support training from the American Heart Association required.
  • Active licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Ohio required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in pediatric nursing required.
