Overview of the Role:
As a Preoperative and PACU Nurse at OrthoArkansas, you will play a vital role in delivering safe and effective care to patients in the Preoperative, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, and Interventional Spine settings. Your duties will encompass overseeing patient care and ensuring a consistent level of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Documentation Management:
- Accurately complete and review all patient records. - Clinical Setup and Maintenance:
- Organize clinical spaces and replenish necessary supplies. - Patient Care and Medication Management:
- Administer medications and provide care following surgical procedures. - Patient Education and Care Coordination:
- Obtain necessary consents, clarify procedures, and manage patient care. - Clinical Interventions and Evaluations:
- Execute treatments, provide IV therapy, and assess patient safety requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- 12 to 18 months of relevant experience or equivalent educational background. - Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid RN License, BLS/ACLS certification. - Preferred Credentials:
- CNOR Certification, BSN.
Technical Skills Needed:
- Basic skills in Data Entry, Word Processing, and Typing are essential.
