Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Preoperative and Postoperative department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical operations and be able to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient understanding of disease process and need for surgical intervention
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative teaching to patients and their families
  • Manage patient care in accordance with established federal, state, and accreditation standards
  • Participate in direct patient care, including maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Assess and manage postoperative complications, such as nausea and vomiting
  • Provide wound assessment and management to ensure uncomplicated wound healing
  • Administer medications safely and effectively
  • Manage patient complications and emergencies preoperatively and postoperatively
  • Document patient information and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • Current Arkansas RN license
  • BLS certification
  • Two years of clinical experience in PACU, surgery, or ER, with a focus on regulatory standards
  • ACLS certification
