About the Role

Bank of China Limited, New York Branch is seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Associate - Banking Quality Control to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for assisting with the assessment, identification, and monitoring of risks related to our banking operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with completing risk assessments, including RCSA, KRIs, ERA, and other evaluations.
  • Identify and monitor risks related to our department, and report any inconsistencies or concerns to your supervisor.
  • Respond to inquiries from independent risk management and third-line defense regarding risk control and related matters.
  • Conduct quality assurance evaluations of all banking processes.
  • Assist in reviewing policies and procedures, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in workflow process review and revision, and prepare and coordinate regulatory and internal audit examinations.
  • Research and respond to information requests from regulatory or other government entities.
  • Assist in monitoring and ensuring the closure of departmental audit and compliance issues.
  • Administer risk control-related training programs to all department employees.
  • Stay up-to-date with risk information and regulatory updates through training, seminars, workshops, and reading materials.
  • Assist with special projects and tasks as directed by management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is required at the time of hiring; a Master's degree or above is preferred.
  • General knowledge and understanding of bank deposit operations, lending activities, and other related commercial banking and compliance functions are preferred.
  • Risk management-related certifications are preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong decision-making, analytical, and investigative abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, legal counsel, law enforcement, regulators, and examiners while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Bilingual ability in Mandarin (verbal and reading proficiency) is required.
Compensation

Actual salary is commensurate with candidate's relevant years of experience, skillset, education, and other qualifications.
