IT Risk Associate

Location: NYC

Compensation: 120-150k base

I am currently working with a prestigious financial services firm to grow out their Technology Risk team by adding an IT Risk Associate to their office in NYC. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience in technology risk and are familiar with the processes surrounding vendor risk management.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the firm's IT vendor risk management process, which includes conducting risk assessments and due diligence, reviewing vendor contracts, and maintaining vendor risk reports and security questionnaires. Additionally, you will be tasked with identifying gaps in the IT control environment and supporting all relevant remediation activities.

This is a unique opportunity with high visibility as you will be working closely with the head of the group to build out the firm's technology risk program.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the risks associated with the firm's vendors including security threats, reputational risk, and business continuity
  • Identify IT control gaps and develop plans for remediation
  • Work closely with senior management to ensure that all third and fourth parties are compliance with TPRM standards and procedures

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Risk Management, ideally in financial services
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Finance, or another related field
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency
  • Strong ability working independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
