About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled EHS Specialist to join our team at Watts Company. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Regulatory Management: Ensure that all company facilities and operations comply with relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
  • Safety Program Development and Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain effective safety programs, including training, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting: Conduct thorough investigations of incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and submit reports to management and regulatory agencies as required.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for employees on safety and health topics, including new hire orientation, radiation safety, and hazard communication.
  • Emergency Preparedness and Response: Assist in the development and implementation of emergency preparedness and response plans, including fire drills, tornado drills, and active shooter response.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of safety and health data, including first aid reports, safety concerns, and accidents.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with management, employees, and regulatory agencies to ensure effective communication and collaboration on safety and health matters.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as industrial health or safety, industrial engineering, or a physical or health science.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Certifications: Pursuing or holding certifications such as ASP or CSP is desirable.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, experience with environmental reporting, and ability to manage tasks and costs for EHS projects.
