Job Summary

Clean Harbors, a leading provider of environmental, energy, and industrial services, is seeking a skilled Regional Route CDL Driver to provide primary route coverage for assigned districts and support other districts as needed. This role involves operating Class B Tanker Trucks, Box Trucks, and Lube Delivery Trucks, with an average of 3 weeks of travel per month and 1 week of home time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Commercial Trucks: Safely operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed, promoting a team atmosphere where everyone helps.
  • Class B Truck Operations: Operate a variety of Class B trucks, ensuring compliance with Company and DOT requirements.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload trucks, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Route Coverage: Serve as a backup driver to cover routes when needed across the region, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
  • Logistics and Compliance: Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and reports, adhering to local, state, and federal regulations and rules.
  • Emergency Response: Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week, responding to site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous material handling situations.
Requirements
  • Valid Class B CDL: Possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License.
  • Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement: Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment.
  • Physical Abilities: Perform physical functions per job requirements, including the ability to travel extensively and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Background Check: Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, as required by the position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Commercial Driver Experience: Possess commercial driver experience, preferably with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement.
  • Manual Transmission: Be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle.
  • Manual Labor Experience: Have previous manual labor experience, demonstrating ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
