The Community Engagement Specialist at Fleet Feet is dedicated to fostering connections within our existing running community while also reaching out to new fitness groups in the local area. This role plays a crucial part in supporting store leadership to maintain customer loyalty, meet sales targets, and attract new clientele. Collaboration with Store Management, staff, various departments of the Fleet Feet Store Support Team, and the local community is essential. The individual in this position will also engage with customers on the sales floor regularly to ensure a strong connection to the customer experience, gather direct feedback, and collaborate with colleagues to promote upcoming events.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing and Community Engagement
  • Build and enhance relationships with various community organizations, running clubs, and other stakeholders.
  • Work closely with store leadership to coordinate events that drive in-store traffic and sales.
  • Regularly engage with the regional Marketing representative from the Fleet Feet Store Support Team to ensure alignment with broader company goals.
  • Follow all Fleet Feet Brand Standards and Guidelines.
  • Manage local event content on the website and social media, utilizing provided resources to appeal to a diverse audience.
Customer Engagement
  • Consistently work on the sales floor, assisting customers with the latest Fleet Feet outfitting experience.
  • Communicate upcoming events to all staff and ensure they are well-prepared to promote these to customers.
  • Support the Retail Experience Manager during floor shifts and serve as a positive role model for colleagues.
Qualifications
  • Strong passion for Fleet Feet's mission and the ability to effectively convey the value it brings to the community.
  • Excellent communication skills across various environments and with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and make informed decisions both independently and collaboratively.
  • Flexible and adaptable; willing to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Canva, and Google Suite.
  • Experience in the running specialty field or involvement in the running community.
  • Established connections within the local community.
