Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer comprehensive Operator Qualification programs, focusing on training, testing, and evaluating personnel to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Design and conduct training programs to improve skills and organizational performance.
  • Assess training effectiveness by gathering feedback, monitoring employee performance, and adjusting strategies.
  • Develop, organize, and maintain training materials, including manuals, guides, and course materials.
  • Cultivate a skilled workforce equipped to handle the challenges of the gas industry, ultimately contributing to public safety and operational excellence.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in HSE (e.g., BCSP, OSHA, NCCER) is preferred, but not required.
  • Natural Gas certifications, including EWN, Veriforce, MEA, ITS, or training certifications are strongly preferred.
  • Five to seven years of demonstrated experience within the Natural Gas industry, including managing OQ Compliance; experience within roles showing progressive amounts of training and leadership ability preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HSE regulations and standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Proven capability to lead and train teams.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to motivate others.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Creative and practical thinking to implement effective safety practices.
  • Quick and efficient response to emergency situations while maintaining composure in a crisis.
