Quality Assurance Specialist

Kalman & Company, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Chesapeake, VA. This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance. We are looking for a candidate who is willing to follow all quality, safety, and conduct rules and comply with company policies. The ideal candidate will be able to work well alone and as part of a team. Some CONUS travel may be required.
- The Quality Control Inspector will assist the Quality Control Coordinator in daily tasks and ensure the completion of each assigned task as directed.
- The Quality Control Inspector will provide technical knowledge where applicable, perform inspections as directed, develop a thorough understanding of the quality / safety program, improve standardized criteria, and collect data from inspections to prepare reports and records.
- The Quality Control Inspector will work to improve the processes through which the organization operates by assisting in the creation, development, or improvement of quality policies and procedures.
- The Quality Control Inspector will work with the Quality Control Coordinator and assigned management by identifying and reporting on quality related issues as well as applying the results of revised plans, directives, and instructions in day-to-day activities.
- Quality Control Inspectors are required to be able to work on their feet for up to 8 hours a day in a non-climate-controlled environment and to be able to lift and handle material weighing up to 35 pounds.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- An Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
- The position requires that the individual be knowledgeable with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
- High School diploma or GED is required.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with quality management systems and with CBR equipment is preferred.
- A BS/BA degree is desired.
