Quality Assurance Specialist: Chesapeake

Sumitomo Machinery Corp of America is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to assist with various projects in the Quality and Continuous Improvement departments. The ideal candidate will be working towards a degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred) or other technical disciplines such as science, technology, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in implementing Quality Control software platforms
• Assist in transferring information from Lotus Notes to SharePoint
• Create reporting dashboards
• Participate in additional projects in Quality and Continuous Improvement as required
Requirements:
• Currently working towards a degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred) or other technical disciplines such as science, technology, etc.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA required, higher preferred (on 4.0 scale)
• Must be in junior or senior year of degree program, Senior preferred
• Must be self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Must have good oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office programs required
