Job Summary

The Airworthiness Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that helicopters are airworthy and compliant with all relevant aviation regulations, company policies, and procedures. This role requires frequent travel and remote working to conduct physical surveys of helicopters and their records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute helicopter-specific Airworthiness Reviews across the Americas region to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Verify that airframe, engine, and rotor blades flying hours and associated flight cycles have been properly recorded.
  • Ensure that the flight manual is applicable to the helicopter configuration and reflects the latest revision status.
  • Review and analyze records to ensure that all maintenance due on the helicopter has been carried out in accordance with the approved maintenance program.
  • Identify and address any known defects or deficiencies in accordance with company procedures.
  • Apply and register all applicable airworthiness directives.
  • Verify that all modifications and repairs applied to the helicopter have been registered and comply with company policy and procedure.
  • Ensure that all life-limited and time-controlled items installed on the helicopter are properly identified, registered, and have not exceeded their limitation.
  • Verify that all maintenance has been carried out in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure that the current weight and balance statement reflects the current configuration of the helicopter and is valid.
  • Verify that the helicopter complies with the latest revision of its type design approved by the Agency.
  • Ensure that all required markings and placards are properly installed.
  • Verify that the helicopter complies with its approved flight manual.
  • Ensure that the helicopter configuration complies with the approved documentation.
  • Identify and report any safety-related concerns to regional and global management as appropriate.
  • Compile periodic findings analysis to identify trends and inform the organization of beneficial continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in Root Cause Analysis for findings and safety reports related to Continuing Airworthiness Management.
Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • A&P Certificate or 10 plus years of Aviation Maintenance or QC experience.
  • FAA experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Must have at least 5 years' experience in helicopter maintenance.
  • Previous Continuing Airworthiness management experience advantageous.
  • Proven technical knowledge of aircraft certification requirements.
  • Proven knowledge of Authority requirements.
  • Proven knowledge of functionality of computer programs.
  • Proven experience of IT skills.
  • Proven experience of carrying out helicopter inspections.

  • Ability to produce aircraft discrepancy reports.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to aircraft locations.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to the role.
