Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality patient care as ordered by physicians, including the initiation of respiratory protocols and evaluation of protocol steps.
  • Assess, develop, and evaluate care plans in collaboration with the patient care team.
  • Participate in monitoring quality of care and identify areas for improvement.
  • Organize workflow to maintain smooth transitions between shifts and assist in day-to-day operations of respiratory care services.
  • Document patient information accurately and enter charges for patient billing.
  • Maintain current knowledge via hospital and department communication tools and participate in in-service training.
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
  • CRT or RRT certification, with RRT obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • Respiratory Therapist (KY) licensure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience in respiratory care in a critical care setting.
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (National) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (National) certification.
