Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Structures Representative / Resident Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work independently under broad supervision and in conjunction with the client Project Manager to ensure the successful completion of construction projects.

Responsibilities
  • Write and issue field change orders, initiate change proposals for design team review and approval, estimate cost of changes, negotiate costs with contractors, and recommend acceptance to the client.
  • Supervise and direct the activities of Construction Inspectors, testing services, and subconsultants.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years construction experience as Structures Representative/Resident Engineer on multidisciplinary transportation projects.
  • Fundamental understanding of contract administration of construction contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Computer literacy, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages.
  • Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Ability to interpret construction schedules.

The expected compensation range for this position is $111,000 to $189,020 annually, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
