About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer 2 to join our team at Humana. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data processing architectures and solutions that enable the efficient conversion of structured and unstructured data to insights at enterprise scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop data processing architectures and solutions using cloud native platforms and software development best practices and patterns.
  • Ingest data from internal and external sources, utilizing cloud native platforms and software development best practices and patterns.
  • Develop software tools that leverage artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big-data techniques to cleanse, organize, and transform data into insights and actions that enable Humana to better serve our members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our data processing architectures and solutions.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of data engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with cloud native platforms and software development best practices and patterns.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big-data techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
