Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts systematic evaluations of completed work orders to ensure adherence to established standards.
  • Maintains precise and up-to-date records to fulfill Quality Assurance Review requirements, assisting the Project Manager with necessary documentation for inspections.
  • Prepares and submits reports for the Project Manager's review, ensuring the project database is current for accurate client reporting.
  • Informs the Project Manager of any policy changes or discrepancies with current standards.
  • Evaluates both in-house and subcontractor work quality.
  • Monitors the status of quality control work orders and manages timesheet completion.
  • Upholds ethical standards and integrity as outlined in the Code of Business Conduct.
  • Maintains a comprehensive library of relevant policies and procedures to ensure compliance with contract standards.
  • Participates in client meetings as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Travels within the project area to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Conducts nighttime inspections of reflectivity and lighting assets as required.
  • Operates company vehicles safely and responsibly.
  • Utilizes all equipment in a safe manner.
  • Contributes to the development of the project's safety program, including the safety plan and training initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting a culture of safety.
  • Oversees Structure Work Order quality assurance and attends Feasible Action Review Committee meetings for issued work orders, ensuring compliance with required procedures.
  • Exercises sound judgment regarding company resources and adheres to Versar's Code of Conduct.
  • Engages in additional activities as necessary to meet project requirements.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Effective communication skills in English are essential.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and demonstrate safe driving practices.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs. regularly.
  • Capable of walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, and twisting while adhering to safety standards.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Must be comfortable working near local roadways and highways.
  • Availability to work multiple shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screenings is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting purposes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately.
  • Capability to interpret and apply design standards from clients and manufacturers.
  • Ability to provide quality and performance improvement recommendations to project personnel.
  • Demonstrates initiative, attention to detail, and commitment to completing assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Adheres to company policies and aligns behavior with organizational goals.
  • Must obtain and maintain an Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Certification within 60 days of project initiation.
  • This position is subject to a client-mandated drug/alcohol testing policy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in Quality Control within construction or public works.
  • Combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 1+ years of higher education or relevant certifications are preferred.
  • Familiarity with standard methods and tools used in maintenance work is advantageous.
