Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures and protocols.
  • Assess patients' physical condition and age-specific needs, ensuring that patient education and safety are met.
  • Position patients, equipment, and associated devices to achieve high-quality images for interpretation.
  • Monitor patients' physiological and hemodynamic status during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Support physicians as a scrub assistant for cardiovascular procedures.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and appraise and evaluate actual and potential hemostasis of a vessel post-procedure.
Requirements
  • A graduate of an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or Radiologic Technology.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification, with PALS certification may be required depending on unit-specific needs.
  • Valid Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification, or Cardiovascular Intervention (CI) certification, or a Bachelor's degree in a healthcare or science-related field may substitute for certification.
