Position Overview
Reporting to the Manager, the Customer Logistics Supervisor is tasked with overseeing, coordinating, and managing logistics operations while providing coaching, development, and training to team members. The ideal candidate will be capable of suggesting enhancements to the facility, equipment, machinery, and processes. They will ensure that staff performance meets standards and that progress is made towards achieving business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate daily logistics operations; Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to plan and review all logistics processes, ensuring compliance with company standards and customer service expectations; Develop work schedules and procedures, coordinating team activities for optimal logistics performance; Accountable for site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); Work collaboratively with customers on all operational aspects; Conduct regular meetings with team members to monitor progress, track performance, provide coaching, and recognize achievements; Foster a team-oriented environment with a focus on Diversity and Inclusion, promoting cooperation and seeking opportunities for process improvements; Conduct performance evaluations and recommend awards or merit increases as appropriate; Address performance issues through corrective actions and disciplinary measures; Understand labor agreements and maintain positive labor relations with all employees; Implement health & safety and security initiatives, ensuring adherence to company policies; Provide comprehensive orientation for new employees and Lead Hands, equipping them with the necessary information and resources to succeed in their roles.Additional Duties
