Helpdesk Technician Role Summary

Nystrom & Associates, Ltd. is seeking a skilled Helpdesk Technician to join our team. As a Helpdesk Technician, you will serve as the first point of contact for end users, partners, and customers seeking technical support on day-to-day issues and requests.

Key Responsibilities

Support

  • Identify, research, and resolve technical problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Document, track, and monitor problems in the Helpdesk ticketing system to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to telephone calls, email, chats, and personnel requests for technical support in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to end users on computer software or hardware operation issues.
  • Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
  • Maintain and support any technical issues that arise, including PC, scanner, or printer issues.
  • Deploy workstation setup at new clinic locations or moves as needed.
  • Enforce company policies to protect physical hardware and digital information security.
  • Participate in On-Call rotation and provide support for after-hours emergencies and issues.

Maintenance

  • Perform basic network administration duties, including connecting workstations to the network and using basic networking tools to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
  • Image company workstations.
  • Install, make changes, and repair computer hardware and software.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should also have a strong understanding of computer systems and hardware, as well as experience with Helpdesk ticketing systems.
