Position Overview

As a Supply Chain Operations Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Project Manager and subcontractors, taking charge of logistics and planning for all subcontracted work. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all subcontractors execute their tasks in strict adherence to contractual obligations. This position is centered on overseeing all logistical planning and field implementation details for a significant and intricate data center initiative, which has rigorous technical specifications. You will be part of a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team, managing the project from its design phase through to full commissioning and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to facilitate problem-solving and logistics planning among Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing subcontractors throughout the construction process.
  • Engage extensively with the contractor's Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team to synchronize all field activities and trade coordination.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the contract documents (drawings and specifications) and develop phasing plans, logistics systems interrelationships, and construction sequencing aligned with the project timeline.
  • Lead logistics and planning meetings, documenting all meeting minutes and logistics strategies.
  • Create and maintain detailed logistics plans for the project, with support from the Project Manager and subcontractors, ensuring regular updates and distribution.
  • Coordinate with the contractor's Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) manager regarding all client-supplied equipment and develop logistics plans for equipment installation.
  • Ensure subcontractors comply with relevant quality documentation and logistics plans.
Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Supply Chain Operations Manager in large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience in the construction of 5 or more ground-up nuclear or other technically demanding facilities.
  • A comprehensive understanding of logistics planning and subcontractor coordination for nuclear projects.
  • Demonstrated experience and references for involvement in large nuclear initiatives.
  • The ability to foster positive and productive relationships with the owner's team, key vendors, and subcontractors.
  • The capability to make swift and effective strategic and planning decisions as situations evolve.
  • A degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering plans, drawings, specifications, and schematics relevant to logistics trades.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Excel, Word, and other relevant software tools.
