The EMR Specialist will play a pivotal role in enhancing operational workflows and delivering training to staff members. This position is essential for refining our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, aimed at improving patient care, boosting operational efficiency, and alleviating staff challenges.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Valid licensure and qualifications as mandated by state regulations.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in EMR management, process enhancement, and staff training within a healthcare environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of EMR systems (preferably MatrixCare), clinical workflows, and healthcare compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead training sessions for diverse healthcare teams.
  • Familiarity with CMS guidelines and medical terminology.
  • Proficient in technology, including MS Office and electronic medical records.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the configuration and optimization of the Constellation EMR system.
  • Act as the primary contact for EMR-related support, troubleshooting, and system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with IT and clinical teams to implement system upgrades and new features.
  • Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations while managing patient confidentiality.
  • Conduct audits of user permissions and manage access in line with organizational policies.
  • Design and deliver training programs for clinical and administrative staff on EMR functionalities and best practices.
  • Translate system features into training environments and facilitate educational sessions.
  • Provide ongoing support to staff to optimize EMR usage and streamline clinical operations.
  • Identify areas for improvement in clinical workflows and EMR application.
  • Engage with frontline staff to understand their challenges with EMR usage.
  • Lead initiatives to standardize workflows and enhance user experience.
  • Collaborate with quality improvement teams to assess the impact of EMR enhancements on patient outcomes.
