Job Summary:
This role is an opportunity to join our team as a Developmental Support Professional. You will be working closely with our experienced lead teachers to implement daily activities and lesson plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the lead teacher in implementing daily activities and lesson plans for children in a daycare, toddler care, or preschool setting.
- Provide individualized support and care for children with special needs, including those with autism or other developmental disabilities.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop curriculum plans that meet the individual needs of each child.
- Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment through effective behavior management strategies.
- Ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times.
- Assist with mealtime routines, promoting healthy eating habits.
- Foster social-emotional development through positive interactions and guidance.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in early childhood education preferred.
- Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a daycare, toddler care, or preschool setting.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Familiarity with working with children with special needs, including autism or other developmental disabilities.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.
Salary Information:
- Estimated salary: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour.
