Medical Veterinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Veterinarian to join our team at Petco Total Care veterinary full-service hospitals. As a key member of our hospital, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth of a productive practice.

Job Description:
- Provide expert medical care to patients, including routine and complex dental procedures, surgeries, and anesthesia.
- Document all patient observations, findings, treatments, and diagnoses in the medical record.
- Communicate effectively with clients, veterinary specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in rounds and disseminate knowledge to improve staff communication and patient care.
- Uphold the standards set forth in Petco's Veterinary SOPs and work collaboratively with colleagues.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
- Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state where the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date.
- Current Controlled Substance License, if applicable, in the state where the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, telephone, and computer skills.
- A willingness to learn new techniques, offer creative ideas, and accept change.
Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary, ranging from $120,000 to $180,000 per year, depending on experience, location, and qualifications. This estimate includes additional benefits such as bonuses, stock options, and retirement plans.
