Job Overview

VanZandt Controls is a leading provider of lifecycle solutions and services, with a strong presence in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Oklahoma. We are seeking an experienced Automation Technician to join our team in South Texas.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation, instrumentation, and process controls, with a focus on well-pad installations, commissioning, maintenance, trouble-shooting, compressor stations, salt-water disposals, plants, and programming. Experience with Modbus communication protocols, Totalflow X series flow computers, Ubiquity radios and cameras, Red Lion HMI programming, and FW Murphy Centurion Compressor Control Panels is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install Plunger Lifts, using Totalflows and Master Chief Control valves.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain existing communication systems using Totalflow G4 XRC, Totalflow G4 XFC, Ubiquity Radios, Ubiquity Cameras, Red Lion HMIs, FW Murphy Centurion, Compressor Control Panel, and Modbus addressing.
  • Work on well-pad installations, commissioning, maintenance, and trouble-shooting projects.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years' experience as an automation, instrumentation, or process controls technician or field engineer.
  • A 2-year associate's degree in Industrial Electrical/Electronics, Instrumentation, or Process Controls is preferred.
