Overview:

The Technology division at PJT is tasked with developing and continuously enhancing a robust and secure technological infrastructure that underpins the firm's business operations. Integral to this is the Cybersecurity function, which ensures that the firm accurately identifies, investigates, and addresses incidents while evaluating relevant controls related to the firm's technology. As the technological landscape at PJT evolves significantly, the Cybersecurity function is also adapting to facilitate this transformation.
Role Description:

The ideal candidate will oversee security engineering, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity operations. They will provide guidance on vulnerability identification, classification, and remediation, including hands-on remediation efforts. This individual should collaborate with technology stakeholders to implement remediations effectively. They will review and identify risks in designs, code, architecture, systems, and procedures, providing input on adherence to the vulnerability risk framework and identifying gaps. Staying current on industry threats and vulnerabilities is essential.
Responsibilities:

Key Areas of Focus

  • Assist the Head of Information Security and Technology Risk in monitoring cyber operations, overseeing vulnerabilities, and offering expertise in system design and configuration.
  • Manage daily operations
    • Oversee the remediation of vulnerabilities and incidents.
    • Supervise 24/7 SOC and patching teams.
    • Ensure resolution times meet established SLAs.
    • Identify alert issues and effectiveness to recommend meaningful changes.
  • Respond to crises to mitigate immediate and potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Curate weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics.
  • Conduct cyber assessments and gap analyses, evaluating control effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to the cybersecurity framework.
  • Manage control and alert frameworks.
  • Review procedures, standards, and guidance to ensure timely and effective incident response.
  • Provide oversight to engineering in secure code, design, and architecture reviews.
  • Understand and manage risk versus business operability.
  • Maintain knowledge of key technology risks and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
    • Preferred fields include computer science, engineering, information systems, policy, or similar.
    • Equivalent experience is acceptable.
  • 7-10 years of experience in cybersecurity operations and/or incident response.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and ISO.
  • Experience with vulnerability management tools like Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7.
  • Strong technical skills in vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of network security protocols, operating systems, and web application security.
  • Familiarity with security incident and event management (SIEM) tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex security issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship abilities, with a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize workload effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of incident response.
  • Experience in managing consultant teams.
