About the Role

Ramboll Group A/S is a global engineering, design, and consultancy company seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Land Use Permitting Senior Consultant. As a key member of our site solutions group, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of land use permitting, including field surveys, permit applications, and environmental impact statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation and review of local, state, and federal permitting documents, with a focus on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection rules and regulations.
  • Conduct and prepare remedial/permitting alternatives analyses, and support and implement sediment characterizations and remedial actions.
  • Manage field surveys and/or wetland assessments, and prepare associated deliverables.
  • Develop remedial and permitting site plans, and prepare reports and other written communication.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, including preparation of project budgets and proposals.
  • Manage and lead junior to mid-level staff in development of site investigation, site characterization, and land use permitting skill sets.
Requirements
  • BS/MS in engineering, environmental science, biology, or natural resources or related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in land use permitting in New Jersey, with a background in site investigation and remediation.
  • Experience with NJDEP Site Remediation Program, PADEP Division of Site Remediation, and/or PADEP Land Recycling Program.
  • Experience with NJDEP Division of Land Resource Protection and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the preparation of permitting documents and reports.
  • Strong technical writing, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, budget and proposal preparation, and technical competence.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER trained.
  • Wetland Delineation Certification is a plus but not required.
