Job Title: Senior Wastewater Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to lead our water and wastewater projects on a full-time, direct basis. This individual will focus on wastewater treatment and conveyance projects and will be based at our office in Philadelphia, PA. We are open to considering alternative locations for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of support staff and senior-level staff members on multiple projects to complete the design, bidding, contract administration, and construction support necessary to meet client requirements.
  • Interact with clients in the Mid-Atlantic region to assist with the development of design criteria and parameters for water and wastewater facilities, including treatment, conveyance, and regulatory permitting.
  • Design and develop project plans, technical reports, cost estimates, and specifications for water and wastewater treatment and conveyance projects, including coordination with regulatory agencies for permitting.
  • Manage projects, overseeing scope, tasks, scheduling, and budgets, and communicate with the team and clients regarding project development and construction.
  • Perform field data collection and site visits, and provide Construction Administration services as needed.
  • Provide mentorship to other staff members to improve the team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering-oriented discipline, preferably Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in Engineering, preferably with wastewater or wet utility projects.
  • PE license in PA, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Management and/or Project Management experience, with a proven track record in effective staff management and leadership with water and wastewater projects.
  • Experience working on design and regulatory permitting activities in the region, with experience working with PA and NJ DEP's a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical and attention-to-detail skills, with proven problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
