Project Civil Engineer

Pennoni is a multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm with a rich history of delivering innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges. We are seeking a highly skilled Project Civil Engineer to join our team and contribute to the success of our multi-discipline design projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multi-discipline projects on various project sites within the City of Philadelphia and surrounding region.
  • Oversee the development of Land Development Plans, including engineering design drawings, technical specifications, and engineering reports.
  • Coordinate permits through regulatory agencies for large-scale, complex projects.
  • Provide expertise in hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, including Flood Control and Water Quality compliance.
  • Delegate workload to Junior Engineers and Drafters, mentoring and guiding them to develop Stormwater Management strategies, Utility Coordination, and Erosion & Sediment Control Design.
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks, monitoring schedules and budgets to ensure effective completion.
  • Complete field inspections as needed.
  • Meet regularly with clients.
  • Prepare proposals for new and existing clients, including estimation of project fees.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in Engineering, preferably with Land Development design projects.
  • PE license in PA, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expertise in the Land Development process in the City of Philadelphia and surrounding region.
  • Management and/or Project Management experience, with proven ability to manage multi-discipline projects.
  • Advanced proficiency with site design functions, including site layout, grading, utility design, stormwater management, erosion control, and municipal & land-use regulatory approvals.
  • Experience working with stormwater management, utilizing Hydrology and Hydraulics (H&H) modeling tools.
  • Proficiency with engineering tools, including CADD, project management software, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Proficiency with standard office software applications, including Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Proven ability to work in an energetic and challenging team environment, with excellent communication skills.
