Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency and ensure high levels of patient and physician satisfaction while cultivating a supportive team environment.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the pain management staff, fostering a collaborative and motivating team culture.
  • Oversee the onboarding and training processes for new pain management personnel.
  • Facilitate monthly staff meetings, conduct quality reviews, and manage performance evaluations and related issues.
  • Coordinate staff schedules, including call and procedure assignments.
  • Manage the scheduling of pain management procedures and ensure effective scheduling practices.
  • Handle inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining compliance with disposal regulations.
  • Monitor communication channels and assist staff in responding to triage messages promptly.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and work towards achieving departmental objectives.
  • Engage in clinical activities as needed, ensuring accurate patient data management and verification of procedures and medications.
  • Prepare charts for procedural clinics and assist in physician and patient scheduling as required.
  • Educate patients and their families on procedures and provide comprehensive discharge instructions.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • A valid and active Nursing License is required.
  • A minimum of one year of leadership experience is essential.
  • At least three years of clinical experience in pain management is necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with a proven ability to lead and develop teams.
  • Ability to effectively engage with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficient in personal computer applications and Electronic Medical Records.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and the ability to make informed clinical decisions.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist in lifting patients weighing up to 300 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel to various clinics as needed.
