Job Description

Marion County is seeking a qualified Mental Health Therapist 2 to join our team. As a Mental Health Therapist 2, you will provide assessments and treatment services to individuals and families, including groups, and provide crisis assessment and intervention services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide assessments and treatment services to individuals and families, including groups
  • Provide crisis assessment and intervention services
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • At least one year of experience in the behavioral health field
  • Licensed by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors or licensed by the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers
  • Credentialed or registered through the Mental Health and Addiction Counseling Board of Oregon as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, which is eligible for overtime. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with flexibility depending upon the needs of the department and program.

The Providence Benedictine Enhanced Care Unit is a nursing facility maintained by a different entity. Staff will be required to follow protocols established by the nursing facility in order to maintain compliance with OHA standards, which may be different than standards established by MCABH.

Benefits

Marion County offers a generous benefits package to regular employees working 50% or more of the regularly scheduled work week and their eligible dependents. Temporary employees and part-time regular employees working less than 50% of the regularly scheduled work week are not eligible for benefits.

Regular and temporary employees are represented by MCEA. Salary and benefits are subject to union contract negotiations and may change as a result.
