Job Summary

Marion County Health & Human Services is seeking a qualified Mental Health Therapist 2 to join our team. As a Mental Health Therapist 2, you will provide assessments and treatment services to individuals and families with complex needs and diagnoses. You will work under the supervision of a supervisor who assigns work, establishes goals, and reviews the results obtained for overall effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Provide assessments and treatment services to individuals and families with complex needs and diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans, behavioral support plans, and crisis plans.
  • Meet with individuals on a weekly basis to provide therapy and case management services.
  • Provide crisis stabilization services as needed.
  • Coordinate and facilitate inter-disciplinary team meetings to review treatment progress of residents.
  • Complete clinical documentation professionally and accurately in a timely manner.
  • Submit paperwork to OHA/HSD or other entities as required.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Recreational Therapy, Music Therapy, Art Therapy, or a behavioral science field.
  • At least one year of full-time, post-Master's degree experience in the behavioral health field.
  • Licensed by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers, or credentialed or registered through the Mental Health and Addiction Counseling Board of Oregon (MHACBO) as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).
  • Ability to establish positive working relationships with other employees, individuals, and their families, other agencies, and the public.
  • Ability to prepare concise and complete clinical documentation related to individual treatment and progress in services in a timely and professional manner.
