Job Summary:

An exceptional leader is needed to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and exceptional customer service. The Executive Chef will be responsible for managing a team of cooks and workers, leading daily culinary production, and maintaining compliance with safety and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead daily culinary production, ensuring the preparation and presentation of meals meet the highest standards.
  • Manage a team of cooks and workers, providing guidance and direction to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and sanitation standards, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve resident satisfaction and customer service.
  • Manage department controllable expenses, including food cost, supplies, uniforms, and equipment.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
  • Extensive catering experience a plus.
  • High volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends, including quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Must be experienced with computers, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, email, and the Internet.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A.S. or equivalent experience.
  • ServSafe certified, highly desirable.
