Position Overview
Under the guidance of the Health and Safety Section Chief, the Staff Services Analyst (SSA) is responsible for developing, organizing, and implementing initiatives aimed at enhancing the safety preparedness of employees at Sacred Heart University.

The SSA collaborates closely with health and safety experts on various occupational health and safety matters. The primary focus of this role will be on health and safety programs and effectively communicating these initiatives to different divisions within the university.

Key Responsibilities
- Engage in teamwork with other university staff and various internal and external stakeholders, including different departments within Sacred Heart University.
- Facilitate health and safety training and awareness programs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

Working Conditions
This position may offer the possibility of hybrid work arrangements, including in-state telecommuting. The extent of telework is determined by the university's current telework policy. While telework may be supported, some in-person attendance will be necessary.

Employees residing outside of the designated area are not eligible for telework. Regardless of telework eligibility, all employees may be required to report to the designated headquarters location at their own expense.

Additional Working Conditions
- Position located in a high-rise building.
- Requires prolonged periods of being stationary, consistent with office work.
- Standard office environment (artificial lighting, controlled temperature, etc.).
- Daily use of a personal computer, office equipment, and/or telephone.
- May require occasional travel.
- Must be able to move/transport equipment weighing up to specified limits, with or without reasonable accommodation.
