  • Facilitate the hiring process for open positions, collaborating with departmental managers to understand posting requirements
  • Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs to promote a positive work environment
  • Administer HR services, including recruitment, compensation, and benefits, as well as oversee audits, performance evaluations, and affirmative action/EEO compliance
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, addressing complex and sensitive matters
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, working with managers to resolve employee relation issues
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, reviewing policies and practices to ensure compliance
  • Stay up-to-date on trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in human resources, talent management, and employment law

Requirements:

  • At least two years of human resource management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Ability to train and make presentations
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficiency with Google Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems

Working Conditions:

This role will be primarily based at the Jackson Campus of Teton Science Schools, with potential meetings and interactions with staff across all campuses. The successful candidate will be able to sit, stand, and communicate effectively, and may be required to lift up to 15 pounds. The ability to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities is also required.
