The selected candidate will primarily focus on the strategic planning, design, deployment, and maintenance of both physical and virtual servers and workstations. This includes operating systems, storage solutions, security measures, and associated network services.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree complemented by relevant experience;
- A minimum of 3 years in the installation, maintenance, and support of virtual systems, particularly with VMware and Citrix XenApp utilizing Thin Clients;
- At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft Windows desktop and server environments;
- 3+ years working with Microsoft technologies such as SCCM, SCOM, Exchange, IIS, and PowerShell;
- 3+ years of experience with Linux/Unix systems; proficiency in IBM AIX is a notable advantage;
- Strong analytical capabilities to tackle complex challenges;
- Comprehensive understanding of security principles (PCI, ISO, NIST) relevant to systems administration;
- Detail-oriented with the ability to translate business needs into technical specifications;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
- A proactive attitude, thriving in a fast-paced environment, and a collaborative spirit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, integration, upgrades, and support of hardware and software;
- Performance optimization and monitoring of network/server resources;
- Planning, coordinating, and implementing security protocols to safeguard data, software, and hardware in alignment with security frameworks such as PCI, ISO, NIST;
- Developing, maintaining, and testing disaster recovery strategies;
- Preparation and analysis of utilization, performance, and availability statistics;
- Engaging with vendors, clients, management, consultants, and technical staff in systems design and troubleshooting;
- Providing support, training, and guidance to team members;
- Delivering tier-2 and tier-3 support to the Support Desk and end users;
- Occasional night and weekend work may be required, with minimal travel anticipated.
