Position Summary

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and supporting the installation and integration of electrical systems in custom mobile solutions, including trailers, truck bodies, and shelters/containers. This role will serve as a liaison between the shop floor and engineering teams, ensuring alignment of goals and objectives.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintain continuous communication with engineering to ensure project issues are addressed
  • Provide technical direction to the shop floor to maintain alignment with manufacturing
  • Develop electrical load calculations and power distribution documentation
  • Create block diagrams and schematics based on input requirements
  • Support customer meetings, conference calls, and site visits as required
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 4 years of experience in AC and DC system and component design
  • 4 years of experience in shop manufacturing/construction
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills
  • 2 years of experience in custom truck, 5th wheel, and/or drawbar, or RV design
  • NEC classroom training and certificate
  • Ability to design and program PLC, HMI, and other types of electronic or electrical manufacturing equipment
Physical Skills
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Required to stand, walk, and use hands
  • Must be able to position self to move, bend, and lift up to 75-lbs
  • Ascend/descend on ladders and move around/within custom mobile solutions
  • Required use of fingers and hands to operate a computer
