Triumvirate Environmental, a leading environmental services firm in North America, is seeking an Environmental Specialist to join our Lab & Onsite Support Services (Lab/OSS) team.

As an Environmental Specialist, you will support our clients on-site by managing their hazardous waste programs and projects, utilizing state and federal regulations.

Our team provides diverse services and advice to assist clients with hazardous-waste management and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations and Triumvirate's Health and Safety practices.
  • Prepare chemical and biological waste for shipment and disposal, including creation of federal/state waste documents and managing the paperwork.
  • Handle hazardous waste containers on client sites and load/unload waste from vehicles safely.
  • Conduct safety equipment and hazardous waste inspections.
  • Occasionally perform and document Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) audits for clients.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by providing outstanding support and innovative solutions to our clients.
  • Develop a high-level of state and federal regulatory expertise to ensure client compliance needs are met.
  • Conduct spill response measures, including assessment and cleanup efforts.
  • Participate in rotating on-call responsibilities as part of our Emergency Response team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the hazardous-waste industry or relevant military experience.
  • Ability to work as a team member and individually.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, develop solutions, and implement strategies.
  • Skilled in building strong, positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
  • Valid US driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis and work overtime as needed.
  • Flexibility to work within the work week (Monday through Friday) and complete a 2 to 3 year professional advancement program in hazardous waste management.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Prior relevant industry experience.
  • Prior successful experience in a customer service role.
  • Active HAZWOPER 24 or 40 hour certification.
