About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Banking Relationship Manager to join our team at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. As a key member of our Commercial Banking team, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of commercial banking clients, providing them with end-to-end financial solutions to help build a comprehensive approach to finance growth, manage cash flow, increase efficiency, and mitigate risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial banking clients, understanding their goals, purpose, and business status.
  • Work with internal partners to connect clients with opportunities and leverage your profile in the local business community to build effective working relationships with new and existing clients and internal partners.
  • Proactively assess client needs and propose solutions to deliver best-in-class service, applying acquired industry and company knowledge to develop client/prospect proposals for financial and strategic solutions.
  • Manage the credit quality of a portfolio of commercial banking clients with credit needs in the $250K-$5MM range, and/or complex cash management requirements.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial or business banking, business development, and a solid understanding of financial statements and account principles, including valuation techniques and cash flow analysis.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of commercial banking clients with credit needs and/or complex cash management requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal partners.
  • A degree or diploma in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
