Job Title: Senior Risk Management Advisor

Truist is seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Management Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our risk management team, you will be responsible for providing regulatory guidance and risk advice to our business leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide regulatory and risk advice to business leaders to promote compliance with applicable regulations, policies, procedures, and risk program requirements.
  • Partner with first- and second-line defense teammates to identify, escalate, and remediate regulatory, risk, and control gaps.
  • Assist in the successful and timely execution of supervisory and compliance initiatives.
  • Deliver metrics to track progress towards risk management metrics.
  • Foster a spirit of continuous improvement and offer recommendations to refine and/or enhance business unit processes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in a financial institution with emphasis on risk management or equivalent work experience and training.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-related regulatory requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of operational and other non-financial risks.
  • Ability to assess levels of adherence/execution and identify risk/control improvement opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Finance or Business, or equivalent education and related training.
  • 12 years of banking or relevant experience.
  • Audit experience.
  • Strong knowledge in field of assigned business unit(s).
