About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our team at Rochester Regional Health. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in the laboratory, performing a wide range of tests and procedures to help diagnose and treat patients.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient samples and perform laboratory tests to ensure accurate and timely results.
  • Operate and maintain complex laboratory equipment, including microscopes and automated analyzers.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure smooth laboratory operations and to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest laboratory techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited medical technology program.
  • Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) from a recognized accrediting agency.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
