Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Technologist to join our team at Rochester Regional Health. As a key member of our Laboratory Services department, you will be responsible for performing complex diagnostic procedures, interpreting test results, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform specialized and complex diagnostic procedures, including laboratory analysis and examination
  • Interpret and correlate clinical test results with patient history, diagnosis, and clinical condition
  • Communicate stat and critical lab results to healthcare teams
  • Perform quality control, routine, and advanced maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Assist in training new and existing employees on new procedures and instrumentation
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience as a medical technologist
  • Previous experience in a laboratory supervisory or leadership position preferred
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • BS in Medical Technology or related Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physical Sciences) and/or equivalent relevant experience
  • New York State Department of Education License or Limited Permit as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist
