About This Opportunity:
This position offers a unique chance to utilize your expertise in business insurance products, regulatory environments, and local markets to drive growth and profitability. You will be responsible for managing a book of business, underwriting and negotiating customer accounts, cultivating relationships with internal partners, and fostering external partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwriting and Negotiation: Utilize your analytical skills to identify risks and opportunities, then negotiate with agents and brokers to secure new business and renewals.
- Business Development: Foster relationships with internal teams to support market penetration objectives and identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Relationship Management: Deliver exceptional underwriting experiences and solutions to external partners, driving satisfaction and loyalty.
- New Business Development: Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree: A relevant degree from an accredited institution.
- Relevant Experience: Three to five years of experience in underwriting, preferably in business insurance.
- Expertise: Knowledge of business insurance products, regulatory environments, and local markets.
- Critical Thinking: Strong critical thinking skills to analyze information and make timely decisions.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to negotiate with agents and brokers.
Compensation and Benefits:
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $83,300 to $137,400. In addition, employees are eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards as part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program.
