Fulltime Intake Counselor/RN

As a Fulltime Intake Counselor/RN at Universal Health Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth intake process for patients. Responsibilities- Ensure that all staff members deliver care in accordance with the Standards of Care and Practice.
- Makes assignments that reflect the competence of staff and patient needs, ensuring that an assignment sheet is filled out every shift.
- Implement hospital policies and procedures and act as a resource to the staff.
- Ensure compliance with the Joint Commission, state and regulatory standards, and patient rights standards.
- Ensure Infection Control, Safety, and Risk Management policies and procedures are consistently implemented.
- Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility preferred.
- Currently licensed to practice in the State of Texas.
- Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.
- CPR certification and successful completion of Handle with Care and Verbal De-escalation, including restraint and seclusion policies, within 30 days of employment and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
