Job Title: Licensed Mental Health Clinician

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Texas Woman's University Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) team as a Licensed Mental Health Clinician. As an embedded mental health specialist, you will provide comprehensive psychological services to a culturally diverse student population living in TWU residence halls.

Job Summary:

This 11-month position involves providing individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, mental health coaching, and preventative mental health outreach, including workshops and presentations. You will also engage with students, provide training and consultation to Housing staff, and serve on the Student Life Students of Concern committee. Additionally, you will work collaboratively across university departments to meet the needs of residential students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive psychological services, including individual, couples, and group therapy.
  • Develop and implement mental health coaching programs for residential students.
  • Formulate diagnosis and treatment plans, and perform triage intake assessments.
  • Oversee crisis intervention and provide consultation and training to Housing staff and students.
  • Serve on the Student Life Students of Concern committee and provide referrals as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date recordkeeping on clients using Titanium, CCAPS-62, and other web-based technologies.
  • Participate in designated meetings in Housing and CAPS, and provide clinical supervision to psychology trainees as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a mental health-related field, such as counseling or social work.
  • Licensed as a professional counselor, clinical social worker, or in a similar discipline.
  • At least 2-4 years of post-licensure experience in a university counseling center or mental health agency.
  • Clinical experience with women's issues and a commitment to working with diverse clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of and experience working with residential students.
  • Experience with preventative mental health outreach.
