Job Title: Therapist - Residential Treatment Specialist

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland is seeking a skilled Therapist - Residential Treatment Specialist to join our team. As a Therapist - Residential Treatment Specialist, you will provide specialized mental health and alcohol and other drug services to clients in a residential treatment setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct diagnoses or needs assessments on referred clients and write, revise, and advocate for successful ASAM reports with Managed Care Organizations to obtain authorization for treatment.
  • Meet productivity standards in the provision of direct client services, such as individual and group services, and plan, implement, and evaluate services with the participation of persons served and their families.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor assigned clients' Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and review assigned clients' progress in treatment, communicating with other qualified mental health or alcohol and other drug providers, administrative, and referring agency staff as needed.
  • Hold a reasonably sized caseload and provide referrals to other services as required or necessary.
  • Assist and support clients served in crisis situations as needed or deliver appropriate crisis intervention and safety planning services.
  • Willingness to act as supervisor to student interns and maintain fidelity to program and treatment model rules.
  • Collaborate and coordinate services with other involved professionals, including psychiatry, primary care physicians, probation, and community mental health providers, and may monitor psychiatric symptoms of clients as appropriate.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, supervision, and in-service trainings regarding specific areas of responsibility.
Requirements:
  • A combination of education and experience normally represented by a Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology or related fields with 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Must have LISW, LPCC, LICDC, or IMFT certification.
  • Maintain current certification in First Aid and CPR, as needed per program requirements.
  • Strong understanding of addiction and mental illness, with the ability to form effective working and therapeutic relationships.
  • Ability to effectively and productively work with people of diverse economic, cultural, and administrative backgrounds, including those with criminal justice involvement.
  • Knowledgeable and responsive to cultural diversity issues presented in the coordination of services.
  • Good working knowledge of computers with familiarity of Microsoft Office software and EMR: Avatar.
