Job Summary

We are seeking a full-time bilingual Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in our outpatient clinical setting. The successful candidate will support a positive patient experience by performing administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician or nurse manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient charts, ensuring all necessary forms are completed and up-to-date.
  • Room patients efficiently, documenting chief complaints, vital signs, medication lists, allergies, and smoking history as required.
  • Communicate and document status updates and changes regarding patient treatment plans.
  • Keep patients informed of delays and progress of clinical appointments.
  • Provide administrative support, performing routine clerical tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing.
  • Ensure exam rooms are prepared and stocked with necessary medical supplies, and maintain a clean environment between patients.
  • Maintain and respond to emails, telephone calls, and inquiries.
  • Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls.
  • Assist the team and utilize downtime efficiently.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a medical office setting.
  • Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish.
